Avon Christmas Plates

Featuring Rockwell

...from Muriel C. Marshall, Secretary, Plate Selection Committee, The Rockwell Society of America "...Here in his studio, was a couple married almost half a century, who just by looking into each other's eyes could shut out the rest of the world and recall all the happiness, all the sorrows, all the life they had shared together. It was a scene that he had to paint, not because he was commissioned to do it, but because it touched a deep longing in him....'Golden Christmas' is still widely considered to be one of Rockwell's greatest paintings."  It was done in 1924 and called Under the Mistletoe.
